About

Not sure if it is because I grew up in Southern California where girls call each other dude, but I am trying to top calling everyone guys. We'll see if I can do it!

to guywearingheels : Thank you so very much for sharing all of this with me in such a lovely comment! It always makes me feel so good when I get compliments on my voice because I have done nothing at all to alter it - it is my natural voice I have been blessed with. Just one of what I feel is my naturally feminine characteristics. A funny Southern California thing I believe I mentioned in the video is that girls call each other "Dude" out here. As we work for both gender equality as well as gender ambiguity, what we call each other can definitely be very important.

You have some great insights into the 'guys' form of address.  My mother-in-law who is very supportive of my transition absolutely forbids my addressing girls as 'guys' or 'dudes' or what ever.  I'm to use 'girls' or - better still - 'ladies'. Patriarchy is such that referring to a female or trans woman as a 'guy' is somehow acceptable but referring to a guy as a girl or lady is not.  The rules M-I-L has made in this regard 1. a group of women or  trans-people can be referred as guys 2. mixed company of males and females the reference is 'ladies'. Straight men may take being referred to as ladies but that's too bad...  In the Matriarchy things are al little different.  BTW, I LOVE your voice - very feminine.  Voice is something I'm working hard on in my transition.  Love your posts as they provide real insight and encouragement.  Hugs!
